Just some things I drew with my students on our last early out day.  Oh, yeah!  I finished my Valeria zine, so that will be available soon!  Now, if you look up at the top of this page to the title window, just under it you will see a menu bar.  I just recently added a fan art page.  Enjoy!

Student/ Teacher Collab

A student walked into my class and handed me his drawing of a nice, grassy countryside.  I asked if I could troll it, and he said I could, so- of course- I added some giant floating plankton.  

Valeria Progress

Progress is slow, but steady.  The mini-comic will be nine super-detailed pages telling the story of how Valeria became a necromancer.

My latest creation!

If you follow me on Instagram (#Chubicorn), then this is old news to you, but if not, then here it is:  my wife gave birth on April 1st!  His name is Liam.  He is a good boy, already curious about his surroundings.

In other good news, I am still finding time to slowly chip away at my comic zine (Valeria).  I have now reached the inking stage.  More soon!

Valeria, the Necromancer

This is the cover of the mini comic I made for Mini Comics Day, which was March 24th.  I spent only about 9 hours (as opposed to the officially-sanctioned 24), and finished drawing a little more than half.  I still need to finish and ink the rest.  More to come soon!

This is a color study of Putu, a bat creature found in the Shellrim Depths.  He is usually more black in color, but this is an experiment.

Valentine's Gram

Here is a Valentine's Day card (Gram) I designed for my students.  I thought the love story (or lack of one) between Shelby and Peach Face Wizard would be fitting for young, awkward, unrequited love.  (top to bottom, l to r:  front cover; inside cover; space to write sweet nothings; back cover/ rejection scene.)

Secret Project Revealed!

I was asked by a friend to design and create a cake topper for her wedding reception.  After two grueling weeks and a failed first attempt, here it is!  I used sculpy (oven-baked clay), foil, and armature wire.  They are both into scuba diving, so that was the theme, and you can see that the two bodies form a heart.  Congratulations, Jill and Bryan!  Now, back to my regularly-scheduled Shelby and the Blooms series.
